Mail Time! #5

First, I would like to start off my saying that WordPress, the company MLBlogs uses for blogs, has changed their way of uploading pictures. I am still getting used to it, so today’s pictures will be a little smaller than usual.

Today, when I got home from school, I found 2 envelopes in the mail box.

The first one I opened was from the Portland Trailblazers (That’s NBA for those of you that don’t know)

The first item inside was a Trailblazers team photo

Followed by 2 issues of their team magazine call “rip city”

The final item I pulled out was 4 pocket schedules.

This is the 2nd NBA package that I have received. Here is an updated list of the responses I have gotten from teams so far.

Los Angeles Lakers- The Lakers would love to send you fan pack. A Lakers Fan Pack is a collection of Lakers paper items, such as a team photo and Lakers sticker, etc.
Miami Heat – Although Miami HEAT ‘fan packs’ do not exist, we would encourage you to shop the official online merchandise retailer of your Miami HEAT
Milwaukee Bucks- Nicholas – thanks for your message. A Bucks representative will follow up with you soon.
Minnesota Timberwolves- ARRIVED
Orlando Magic- The volume of requests that we receive for Fan Packs and autographs far exceed the resources we have available.
Portland Trail Blazers- ARRIVED
San Antonio Spurs- Thank you for contacting Spurs Sports & Entertainment. Your email will be forwarded to the appropriate department.
Toronto Raptors- Unfortunately, Fan Packs are no longer available.

The 2nd envelope I opened was courtesy of the Baltimore Orioles.

I pulled out a letter

And a sign-up sheet for the Orioles kids club

The next thing I found were a couple of pocket schedules

Followed by an oversized baseball card of their mascot, The Orioles Bird

And a similarly sized card of Jim Johnson

Next, I pulled out a brochure giving info regarding OPACY tours

The last item I pulled out was a sheet of 2 stickers. Cool stuff!

That’s all for this entry! Today, I sent envelopes in the mail out requesting pocket schedules to 5 different teams as well as 4 postcards to various MLB teams.

Thanks for reading! I’ll try to have a new entry up tomorrow, but don’t know yet. If I get any more fan packs, I will for sure have an entry up. If not, I will still likely have a post.

Those orioles stickers were the best, I love that design. I remember I used all the stickers I got from fan packs on all my school stuff- binders, notebooks, calculator etc. People keep asking which team I’m a fan of.

Heres some of the email I sent:
Hey, I’m a big fan- love watching Kobe play. Its too bad its so difficult to get the games on TV up here and we’re stuck with a generally pretty crappy team up here in Oakland. I was wondering if I could get some fan pack stuff to show my love for the #1 team in the state, and I hope to be able to make it to see a game in person down there soon.
