Mail Time! #10
On Monday, I got a special envelope in the mail
That would be one of the self-adressed envelopes that I sent out. This one was from the Harrisburg Senators.
I have a backstory to the contents of this envelope.
2 weeks ago, I got a response from my email to the Senators. Their GM, Randy Whitaker was the one who actually responded. Here is the email that he sent me.
Note the PS in that email. For those of you that don’t know, Max often comments on my entries, and has been sending emails to teams too. He also writes a blog that you can find here. Clearly, the GM had taken note of this, so decided to mention it.
I sent this reply email to him:
Later that night, I got a reply:
The next morning, I sent out my envelope. Inside, I added a letter, thanking him.
When I opened up the envelope, I first pulled out 4 player cards
On the back of each card, there was a 2013 schedule
I then pulled out 2 pocket schedules. Here is the first one
The second pocket schedule that I pulled out was special
That is the autograph of GM, Randy Whitaker!
How cool is that?

That’s awesome!!! I have about 60 fan packs because you gave me the idea also. By the way, I listened to your talk show last night ad thought you did a fabulous job. I recently got a fan pack from the dodgers and KC Chiefs today.

It is awesome! 60? Wow! When did you start? How many teams have you emailed? I’ve gotten about 15 packs since I started emailing a week and a half before Thanksgiving. I’ve emailed every MLB, NBA, NFL, AAA, and AA team. I wonder when I will get items from the Dodgers and Chiefs. Thank You for listening on Sunday! It was my first time, so there is a huge learning curve, but for now, I’ll be doing it every Sunday night a 8pm PST.

I started right when you posted the first mail time #1. I have emailed every NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, AAA, AA, A advanced, Single A, WNBA, AFL, NLL, AHL, ECHL, NBA D League, and some Independent league teams. Lots and lots of emails. I will probably be sleeping when u do the show, but will listen on Monday.

Mostly fan items. I have gotten like 1-5 packages with only pocket schedules but most have really cool and unique items.
