Mail Time! #8
Yesterday, I got a small envelope from the El Paso Diablos, of the South Division of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. They have nothing to do with MLB.
They are the first independent league team that I have gotten anything from, which is really cool!
This is the package I pulled out of the mailbox.
The first thing I pulled out was a magnetic schedule
Then, I found 2 pocket schedules
The final item I received was a lanyard covered in their logo.
I apologize for another short entry. As soon as I get more envelopes, I will have entries up. On Saturday, I will have an entry up regarding one of my baseball-related collections. Keep posted for that!
If you are interested in any more of my mail-related entries that you have not read yet, you can find them here:
#1 (I got stuff from the Indians and White Sox)
#2 (I got items from the D-Backs and Rangers)
#3 (Items from the Astros, Reds, and Red Sox showed up)
#4 (A quick entry about the envelope I received from the Minnesota Timberwolves)
#5 (I got envelopes from the Portland Trailblazers and Baltimore Orioles)
#6 (A short envelope with the 76ers
#7 (Frederick Keyes and Buffalo Bills).
Thanks again!

Nice. I’ve always been a fan of magnetic schedules and lanyards.

I’m a big fan of Minor League and Independant baseball. They are so much fun, and cost a lot less. The Diablos seem like a real fan friendly team.

Thanks for commenting! As much as I love A’s games, I completely agree. In the 6 minor league games I attended in 2012, I had an absolute blast! Being able to pay $15 to sit right behind the dugout is pretty awesome. Unfortunately, I have had a hard time locating Independent Leagues a reasonable distance from the SF Bay Area, but I have to make it out to a game spoon!
