More Mail!
On Friday, I got two Fan Packs, one from the White Sox, the other from the Indians. You can read that blog entry here.
As I write this, it is Saturday afternoon and I just got 2 more Fan Packs in the mail, one from the Diamondbacks and the other from the Rangers.
Here is an updated list of all of the responses that I have gotten so far from MLB Teams.
MLB Teams:
Blue Jays– I need to send a self-addressed, stamped envelope
Braves- Send them a Postcard
Cubs- Send them a Postcard
Diamondbacks- ARRIVED
Giants- Emailed me a PDF Fan pack
Indians– Fan pack sent out to mail- ARRIVED
Padres- Unable to fulfill Request
Phillies- Postal request
Rangers- Donation needed… $5 Donation made….ARRIVED
Tigers- No giveaways, but will mail fan pack
Twins- Send Postcard from hometown
White Sox- ARRIVED
Yankees- Send Postcard
Here is the address side of the packet from the Diamondbacks:
I opened it up to find it was a 20-page booklet that looks like something would be given out to all fans at the entrance of a game.
I’m going to show you all of the pages in this pamphlet.
Here are the first two pages:
An introduction. Ok…
Pages 9-10: D-Backs baseball academy…
Pages 11-12: 2011 West Division Champs…
Pages 15-16: Legends Race info/”Games”…
Pages 17-18: “Games”/Mascot Info…
Pages 19-20: Coloring!!!!!!!/Even more “Games”…
Honestly, I find it kind of unfortunate. It’s just like the Indians.
Hey, it is still free stuff!
The second package today I received was from the Rangers. On their website, they request that you make a small donation in order to receive a Fan Pack. I made a $5 to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation in order to receive my fan pack. You can find the donation page here. I wonder if you get more stuff if you donate more…
This is the package I received from the Rangers:
Here is the letter that was inside:
The first thing I pulled out was a team photo:
The next thing was a sticker sheet:
After that, I found two little pages of temporary tattoos:
Then, I found a Jr. Rangers Club Lanyard (With the Dr. Pepper Logo):
I then pulled out four photo cards:
In clockwise order (Starting in the top left) there are cards for Nelson Cruz, Mitch Moreland. Craig Gentry, and Rangers Captain, their mascot:
Unlike the 3 others, which had white backs, the Rangers Captain one had info on the back:
The final item I pulled out was a Rangers PHITEN tornado-style necklace:
Usually, those are about $30-$50! Pretty cool!
That’s all for this mail entry. Maybe I should come up with a name for these? Any ideas? Let me know in the comments down below.
I will continue to write more entries as I get mail from teams. I still have a lot of postcards that I will try to send to teams within the next week.

Nick,
I got bored yesterday, so I searched up fan packs on YouTube. I watched the videos and then emailed every team that sent stuff out. Maybe you should do that to.

I even sent requests out to NFL teams as many will send fan packs.

I’ll have to do that! I might try NHL teams first, as they probably have a lot of unused promotions or giveaways.

Nick- I have done the fan pack thing for a while. I have a lot of cool things such as shirts from teams. If you email the Winnipeg Goldeyes, an independant league team, they will probably give you a really cool pack. I got a lot of posters and player autographs from them.

How long have you been doing it? That’s cool about the independent league team. I’ll have to email them soon. What are the coolest things you have gotten from teams. Oh, and how long does it take for most MLB packages to arrive?

Fill out the Fan Pack donation page at the Rangers website. I linked to it in my entry, but it is here: https://secure.mlb.com/tex/community/fan_packs.jsp You do need a credit card to pay. I gave my mom $5 and she filled it out for me.

What email do MLB teams use, I used fanfeedback@whitesox.mlb.com
Is that right?

For all of the emails that I sent, I went to the Contact Us page on the team’s website, and from there, selected the appropriate category and it brought up a fan feedback screen that I filled out and sent the email that way.

You’re welcome! I sent an email to the Goldeyes as well. I’ll post here as soon as I get something. Let me know when yours shows up and what is in it if yours shows up before me.
